What happened at the end between Gretta and Dave?

I'm not sure I understand what happened at the end between Gretta and Dave? Why was she crying at the end of his performance of her song? Was she disappointed? Left him for good?

He went back from doing her arrangement to doing the one she told him not to do. She was disappointed and left him for good.

She needed to leave him because she saw him as a sell out but she should be able to tell that the arrangement he played at the concert- delicate and ballad-y in the beginning and then energetic and emotional at the end- was better!

I think also seeing how he was playing for the crowd, the adulation for the girls swaying in front of him. It wasn't just about the song, the music, which is what she'd told him it should be about...
