I'm not sure why there's so much hate on Keira Knightly. I thought she seemed so natural. In fact, the entire cast seemed to blend really well.
I had initially put off watching this because of the reviews and I'm glad I gave it a chance.
I've just seen it and came here to say I LOVE this movie!!! It's so full of joy. And I thought Keira was perfect, trust me, there actually ARE girls exactly like her character being waif-type singer songwriters in coffee houses, and she got everything spot-on correct. I don't know why people think she didn't and I hear even the director thinks she didn't. That baffles me, she was just like girls I've known on that scene.
Beautiful movie about the joy of just making music; gave me goosebumps and reminded me of stuff.
I loved the film. It's a feel-good friendly film and I suspect I'll rewatch it on a regular basis. I like Keira Kneightly myself. She is very much one of a kind beauty wise but I think also a very good actress - certainly loved her in this role.
