This movie elevated the quality of all the actors involved

I've always loved Mark Ruffalo, but damn, wasn't he amazing in this? And Keira Knightley was completely adorable. In fact, the entire cast was pretty great. This is one of the rare movies that I could watch repeatedly. It's refreshing to see a strong film support it's cast, rather than the other way around--which is so often the case these days with flimsy plots and weak characters.

I just watched this for the first time, and I totally agree. I love Mark Ruffalo and Keira Knightly, and they were great in this. The songs were catchy and I thought the ending was absolutely perfect.

You are right on! Ruffalo was incredible, it doesn't ever seem like he's acting its just natural. I said the same about Knightley, so adorable in this. Really enjoyed this film

I think lots of actors are capable of more than they are allowed to do by the requirements of the general TV Show / film. So I'm not that surprised to see everyone being so good when given the opportunity. I would normally credit the director for creating that environment but as I've been reminded by other comments on this forum he was a bit of a dick about Kneightly after the film so I won't.
