Looks like franchise fatigue

It's the highest grossing movie of the franchise. Yeah, definitely franchise fatigue.

It had a respectable debut, but it still fell short of expectations, not great if you take inflation into account.

I think everyone was expecting too much from it. It’s still a good opening. Plus it will probably have great legs, due to word of mouth.

Ideally, studios want their films to be frontloaded since they get a higher percentage of receipts on the first two weeks, but legs are more than ok also. Toy Story will be fine.
