Worth the watch?

I liked it. I thought it was more than worth the watch.
I saw it as two different kinds of character studies, one starting at the beginning and mostly focusing on Bruhl, the other starting with the accident and taking on Hemsworth on a deeper and more layered level, as his actions get more and more influenced by those of Bruhl. It was interesting, and quite close to the real thing the way it happened, but with some melodrama injected here and there.

I would definitely recommend it.
If you remember the real life events and/or are interested in Formula 1, it's a must-see. If not, I think you'll be pleasantly surprised: there have been a number of posts from viewers who had no previous interest in F1 going in, but became hooked by the movie.

This was the best movie of 2013. Not what I expected at all. It's not really a racing movie, or a glamour movie for a big star. It's a movie about competition, and how two competitors with different styles can bring out the best in each other and grow to respect each other.

Worth a watch? Absolutely. Strong performances by the male leads. Good direction. It's a good film but I think some of the extreme positivity about it in a lot of threads is a bit overblown.

It is just really well made. There is nothing groundbreaking about it but the story fits very well and the pacing is perfection. I have no complaints and can see why it is pretty much universally thought of as a very good movie.

Yes, it is so worth the watch. IMO, the best movie of 2013.

Definitely a good move, coming from someone who hates "style over substance" movies and knows nothing about Formula 1.
