Plane tickets *possible spoiler*
At the airport in Greece Chester says he buys tickets for Frankfurt, but he ends up in Istanbul?
Is it an attempt to deceive Raydel and go there on his own?

Yes.
shareDidn't we - and Raydell - see him go into a WC? How would he get out without Raydell seeing him (unlikely there would be another exit, surely)?
Yes, I thought the same thing. I don't think there'd be another exit to the WC. Also, I thought it was unlikey that Rydal would've just let him buy the tickets, knowing what a con-man he was.
shareNot to rain on your parade, but a lot of airport restrooms have (or used to have, anyway, before 9/11) restrooms with more than one door.
That said, I don't recall the scene in the film. I'll have to see it again.
I don't remember ever going into a restroom with more than one doorway, except at a sporting event, and the doorways were about two meters apart in the same wall, e.g. a person outside could easily see people using both doorways at the same time.
But this is set in Greece, in 1962, so who knows? The setting didn't look like there was the possibility of another door. It's just a little niggle, though, one of a few that I had with the film.
The film is set in the early 60's. I wasn't exactly hanging about in airports in Istanbul back then, but I recall some years later several airport restrooms in the U.S. with more than one door. My home airport has one still (women's restroom, that is. Maybe men don't need more thn one? )
Still, it could be a mistake in the film continuity. Thsoe things do happen.
Chester replaced his stuff on the suitcase with his wife's valuables, so that Ryndal would be arrested and accused for murdering her. When Rydal opens it, we can see it clearly. It's the first time he leaves it behind as well. Throughout the movie it is stuck to his hand. He must have said something to an employee of the airport before he sat next to Rydal, and when he did, he was just waiting for the perfect time to go to the restroom. But Rydal figured it out and tried to escape before they catch him. So when he got up, Chester got out of the restroom and got to the plane.
