Yet to see a 'bad' Jack movie....

We see this mess of an actor now, Robert DiNero, and then we see Jack, and its like there is living proof that an actor can just be shining on the screen no matter the age.

Hell, I could be entertained by him sleeping.

I know the last movie he was in was "panned", I never saw it, so I dont know if that may have been a - as in only - bad Jack movie, but with that said, doesnt look like this will be a Jack movie, he will just make an appearance, might be the best part of the whole movie.

Go see his last movie.

No rush.

What ArmandFancypants means is: DON’T go see his last movie “About Sh*t” or “As Bad as It Gets” or whatever the title was (I have tried to repress the memory of it)!

reply

Not seen "Man Trouble" then? :)

-Goodnight, mother of six!
-Goodnight, father of two!

Hey! The Two Jakes was a great, very underrated movie!

Jack is fascinating even in bad movies. I loved The Two Jakes . As for Anger Management, Jack is on record saying that after 9/11...he wanted to do comedies for awhile...for obvious reasons. You can hate AM but it brought a lot of people a lot of enjoyment. It was a huge commercial success.

I take it you've never seen Wolf or Prizzi's Honor

reply

Are you referring to How Do You Know? It was a horrible movie and was greatly disappointed in James Brooks, who usually writes and directs pretty good movies. Great cast, bad movie. It was also a huge flop. It cost $120 million to make (probably most for actors salaries) and only took in $30 million (US) worldwide gross was $46 million. Total intake $76 million. Really sad movie.

reply

Reese Witherspoon ruined that movie.

reply

What has this got to do with this film?

And who's Jack, you mean Nicholson? He's not in it is he, I can't see his name?

reply

... since Jack isn't even in the movie and you've obviously never seen 'The Postman Always Rings Twice' (1981) still want my money back for that one.

Jack Nicholson was originally attached for the part now played by Martin Sheen.
Don't know why he left the project. Maybe he thought it took too long to get it developed?
Still, what a shame ...
