Warren Beatty playing hughes as a goofball ecentric Not Stoked
After Leonardo's turn this just looks silly. I love old Los Angeles but this may not work.

Silly can be fun. The stakes were high on WB's return, better to make a charming small comedy than risk failure with an epic. If this movie is appreciated, he has said he wants to do another Dick Tracy and a sequel to Shampoo (!) soon
