Did the find the pranker?

It seems as if they did in the movie but could not find anywhere to confirm it...
How did they find it when the guy used an anonymous card number?
Thanks.

reply

Yes, they did find him. They found out that the card was bought on Walmart and then they went there and checked the security cameras. Then they tracked another card which had been bought in another Walmart. They checked both footages and found out who the guy was. He went to trial but was found not guilty due to lack of evidence. Even though they had found other cards at his house, one of them with 9 calls to corporations like McDonald's, all of them in the same year.

Really? That is bad.
I googled and found 2 names, Walter Nix and David Stewart but there are too many articles to read, so quick question: which one is it?
I wish that bad guy rots in hell, such a sick and evil mind.

reply

Walter Nix is the fiancé from Donna (the manager), the guy who raped the girl. David Stewart was the one who made the phone call and was never found guilty.

Thank you. I googled and found a picture of David Stewart here http://www.nbcnews.com/id/15504125/ns/us_news-crime_and_courts/t/acqui ttal-hoax-call-led-sex-assault/#.U1Mp5O8U-aM.
Will try to read more about how the police came to find Stewart at the first place.

I think there's a video (kind of a documentary/interview) about it on youtube. Do you want me to find it for you? I think I saved it somewhere :)

reply

Yes please. I wonder why he was acquitted. If he didn't do it then who did it?

reply

He did do it. They just couldn't prove it.

And I don't really remember what the video is about but I'm pretty sure there's somo info on that. If there isn't you can always search for some more videos.

wait did he actually rape the girl? In the movie it only showed him spanking her.

"Nix removed the apron that Ogborn was wearing and ordered her to dance and perform jumping jacks while she was naked. Nix then ordered her to insert her fingers into her vagina and expose it to him as part of the "search." He also ordered her to sit on his lap and kiss him, and when she refused to do so he spanked her until she promised to do it. The caller also spoke to Ogborn and demanded that she do as she was told or face worse punishment. Recalling the incident later, Ogborn said that, "I was scared for my life."

After Ogborn had been in the office for two and a half hours, she was ordered to perform oral sex on Nix.

Summers returned to the office periodically, and during these times Ogborn was instructed by the caller to cover herself up with the apron. Nix became uneasy about what was happening. The caller then permitted him to leave on condition that Summers had to find someone to replace him. After Nix left, he called a friend and told him, "I have done something terribly bad.""

this is in wikipedia. it isn't rape rape but it is kind of rape.

And if you read further down in the wikipedia article, it says that Nix pleaded guilty to sexual abuse and other crimes. "sexual abuse" is a clickable link and if you click on that, you learn that sexual abuse is forcing unwanted sexual contact on someone, which Nix clearly did.
