My eyes have been opened, time for me to bask in the power of suggestion

I never realized that picking up the phone and claiming to be someone you're not has so much power over other people.

I just looked up this years Super Bowl prop bets, and the odds are 12 to 1 against the team owner being the first person named in the MVP's post game speech. Since i am quite sure that will never happen, I plan to call up a Vegas sport book, tell them I'm a billionaire, and then bet 12 million dollars (which I don't actually have) to win a cool One Milion Dollars that will surely pay out when the MVP makes his mom, wife, coach, teammates, fans, god or anyone else the first third party he mentions. Flawless plan.

Anyway, I don't care if people are that dumb in real life, this movie didn't do a good job making it seem plausible. The pretend cop guy could gave been more convincing, and they shouldn't have made it seem like the manager was sort of competent at first.

You must have forgotten that they showed right off the bat, that the manager was not competent. The opening scene shows her being given grief by a delivery guy. The freezer door had been left open and a lot of food had spoiled, requiring a special extra delivery, and they weren't going to have everything for that night. This shows she is not as on top of things as she could be. Also, she indicates she is not going to tell her regional manager about this. This fear of looking bad to her boss comes into play when she goes along with the caller because he says he has talked to her boss.
