Sandra and Becky were both idiots

Sandra was just annoying... what kind of manager is she? hahaha
And she was definitely dumb as hell.

Becky was just dumb to go along with the whole thing too, but was in a less authoritative position.

The film is just idiotic...but sad that more of the people in the US falls for prank/hoaxes callers...

How can you say the movie is idiotic when it depicts something that actually happened? I admit the situation was a bit idiotic, but again, it happened.

The manager was mainly at fault here, and it shows how far people can go when approached by "authority figures".

Becky was scared, naked, isolated and she was being threatened. They took her clothes and left her there. Sandr was extremely stupid, but she clearly had self-esteem issues, and she was scared of her regional manager and felt ashamed that she lost all that product from the freezer whose door was left open. Once the caller mentionned the regional manager, he was in. Van wanted to believe it was a cop, he was drunk and he saw a beautiful young woman at his mercy. He knew what he was hearing wasn't OK, but he just couldn't resist. Now does that excuse them? No. The maintenance man and Kevin were both put in similar scenarios and they said no.

The maintenance man is the only one who had the common sense to stop and say no this is wrong and if he hadn't come in, lord knows what else that poor girl would have suffered. The 2 characters that I can't understand are the shift manager and Kevin. The shift manager could have said something to Sandra, although she never heard the caller, as Becky's friend she should have been more suspicious. Kevin heard the "cop", saw that Becky was naked and afraid and he did nothing to help her.

The thing people lose sight of is that everyone in this story -- except Harold at the end, who may have had more experience with cops than anyone else there -- took it for granted that Officer Daniels really was a policeman. People keep asking why they didn't demand a badge number -- do you think he didn't have one ready? -- or call the station for confirmation. Why would they do that if they weren't suspicious? And if they're suspicious, the whole scam breaks down, as it did when Harold called shenanigans.

Yes I agree that Sandra, Becky and perhaps Van (although I think to some degree he knew but didn't care) thought he was a real policeman. Kevin chose to disobey, he clearly had doubts that this thing was for real and heard the guy on the other end asking him to look at Becky, which he refused to do. If Kevin blows the whistle or even mentions to Sandra what the caller asked, maybe this stops there.

Becky was naked, cold and isolated because she was stupid. When the random "voice on the phone" asked Becky to submit to a strip search, she should have told him to *beep* off.

When the cop told Sandra to take Becky's clothes out to her car, Becky should have definitely grabbed them back and got dressed, and hung up the phone.

Sandra was an idiot, but Becky was an even bigger idiot!
