1. Harold - It took him about 30 seconds to realize a cop asking him to frisk a naked girl over the phone didn't make much sense
2. Kevin - He was at least smart enough to realize something wasn't right, even though he didn't do much about it except refusing to participate
3. Marti - She wasn't in the room for most of the movie but she gets dumb points for not questioning the strip search
This is where it gets tough. Becky, Sandra and Van all seem borderline brain dead for how far they let things go. But I'll say...
4. Sandra - Even though she's the authority figure and set everything in motion, she wasn't in there for the craziest *beep* I'm going to assume the naked jumping jacks, spanking, etc might have made her suspicious
5. Evan - He could easily be considered the dumbest since unlike the others he didn't have to worry about his job and didn't have anything invested. It's tough to tell how much him being drunk and probably wanting all those things to happen factors in
6. Becky - I don't think I even have to say anything here
I think it's incredibly offensive to the real Becky to consider her to be the dumbest of the group. She was a teenager who had no idea what was going on. To say she was the dumbest in the situation is just as bad as saying what happened to her was her fault. It was all Sandra and her fiance. 100%.
Oh c'mon! She was 19! I started working at 17 and when I felt the slightest bit of sexual harassment I reported it. at that age, you should know better than to give some 50 year old man a blow job or allow him to spank me all because a "police officer" said so OVER THE PHONE!
Well, one thing is for damn sure: poor film, great film, dumb, smart, unbelievable, believable, whatever your take on it, it certainly has people talking/debating ( I'm in the totally UN believable and dumb camp btw)In fact,I would imagine there are some slightly niave (that's me being polite) young ladies and gents out there but I would also imagine that there are many, many who, at a younger age than Becky would have still had enough common sense to know they were being exploited.
no offense, but i reckon half those sexual harrassments you reported, were just harmless flirting, or even good banter. you sholdnt report it, you should just make it clear to the person committing it that you dont like it. why jeopardize somebody's job for just being attracted to you. I hate oversensitive people like you. Harden up!
And if you have watched the interview she stated she was taught to respect adults. To not argue with adults. We are not talking about you. We are talking about Becky/the real life girl this happened to
Sandra was taking orders from someone she *thought* had authority over her. Becky was taking orders from Sandra, who she *knew* had authority over her.
It was also, as far as she knew, her job and reputation and criminal record ("or lack of") that were at stake. People do get falsely accused by real cops, and she may have wanted to clear her name. It's usually a bad idea to run from the cops. The problem was in not verifying that this was a cop.
I agree. She could have said no, quit/gotten fired, and left but she didn't know. It's easy to judge her because she was 19 and "should have known better" but unless you know your rights, you'll be taken advantage of. Besides, being a legal adult doesn't mean everything you *should* know will magically rain down on you...which is evident with Sandra and Van.
Once upon a time there was a boy named Draco Malfoy, and he was so sexy that everyone died
Becky was definitely one of the dumbest - or the most astute. She was either very naĂŻve and stupid (naivete alone does not justify going along with this) or she realised early on what was happening, and it occurred to her that if she pretended to be as dumb as the others, once it was all over she could claim massive damages.
Now I'm not condoning but could we technically say that perv 'cop' was the smartest character as he (somehow) achieved all that he managed to achieve for the length of time that he did??????
That's not smarts; that is just having good verbal skills to fool a pack morons. You see how quickly his schtick fell apart when confronted by the facts.

My men fight just as well when they are stinking of P*U*S*S*Y- Julius Caesar
1.prank caller 2. Harold 3. Kevin 4. Becky I'd rather say she know after few minutes when Sandra started behaving the way she did. she is badly need of a job so did what she had to. she's smart enough to question the officer and Sandra right away but Sandra proved way too much with her being the authority around and then Becky would think twice if u noticed before doing what the caller says but since theres no other to make believe she's innocent (keeping the freezer situation in mind"she had to act according to what Sandra feels right. plus she did know the surveillance camera angles to tell to officers later and she did say she knows how its going to end when the whole propaganda started. 5. Connie for not being getting involved in tricky things. 6. Ivan, this man is OK, but mind you he is not in his right senses coz he's drunk, if not for that he'd handle the situation much better but he was forced on by Sandra. He started questioning the officer but sandra every time she pitched in pushed ivan to do whatever the officer said, Being a little perv add to that drunk he carried on although he was hesitant mostly. 7. Marti, she looks like she knows Sandra in lot of aspects, she should be the one talking sense to her, but she dint want cross Sandra's authority. Would she act the same way if it happens to herself? 8. Sandra of course the dumbest coz she is supposed to be balanced irrespective of the situation at hand as a "manager" its not all about filling the cash register with a smiley face put on. She took advantage of employees as well as her boy friend, also remember in the initial scenes about sexting, she just tries to give the boss impression in the context. Had it been put a little more sense by her in handling the situation it would have led to nab the caller to cops in a different and easier way.
The biggest reason Sandra is the stupidest is because she was the one who heard a random guy say "I'm a police officer", and then when he described the girl, she said "you mean Becky?" That would've been the time for a sensical person to be skeptical.
But then she started telling people, "a policeman called and said Becky stole money." When Sandra was searching Becky's purse, she said to Becky, "the policeman described you and knew you by name." Those other people weren't hearing it from a stranger, they were hearing it from their boss or fiancee.
Evan showed up, and his fiancee told him a policeman was on the phone, Becky stole something, is involved in something bigger with her brother who is smuggling drugs, and you have to do everything he says. He even objected when Sandra came in, and she reiterated that he should do whatever the officer says.
Although, I have no idea why he would think a policeman would force the girl to go down on him.
I dont think Sandra was stupid at all, i think she liked when the "beautiful young girl" got abused. Remember when she heard Becky talk to Marti about some guy that wanted her and kept "sexting" her, and they laughed behind Sandras back after Sandra said that Van used to do that to her aswell. Right in that moment i realized, she was very jealous of Becky, and because of jealousy, she just acted stupid and went on with the charade to hurt Becky.
"Evan showed up, and his fiancee told him a policeman was on the phone, Becky stole something, is involved in something bigger with her brother who is smuggling drugs, and you have to do everything he says. Evan was drunk, which impaired his judgment, and he was a pervert. There was a point where he definitely knew this wasn't kosher, but on the other hand he had a naked teenage girl under his control. He wasn't thinking about WHY a policeman would order such a thing, only that a policeman was ordering it, thus giving him a free ticket to get his rocks off.
Harold wasn't all that smart, either. He walked into a room and saw a naked teenager, and didn't immediately say "WHOA. THIS IS WRONG!" It was only after he talked to the cop that he called B.S.
