The most disturbing film on my list...name yours...
This movie haunted me for two days now. Fortunately and unfortunately, I am by will stranded on an island so I can actually allow to reason this beautifully made filth out of my head but at the same time, not having enough distractions to block it from lingering like a tumor in my mind.
Nevermind the idiot manager, the beguiled girl (after researching more into her plight I actually felt bad for her - Penn State comes to mind as well as thousands of testimonies of younger children submitting to abuses) I had to think how, his motivation, his lust and where the boyfriend's head is to willingly allow a stranger to coax him into committing these acts. Tragic tragic story...
From a film standpoint, it is the MOST wretched and frightening film on my list simply because it was real.
My recollection. Perhaps the tone of it, the subject matter, the lurid photography, the acting, the psychological implication of intermixing reality and fantasy, of innocence and perversion, the insidious way that it leeches into my head and festers there but these nightmares were truly amazing by itself and the evil geniuses crazy bastards who thought of them (I have heard Serbia, various Pinku fairs, Miike and other nasty goodies: Human Centipedes I, II, Begotten, Martyr and all in good time but for now):
Henry, the Portrait of a Serial Killer
Salo
Texas Chainsaw Massacre (the only slasher that really affected me)
Clockwork Orange
Exorcist (when I was 14)
Gaspar Noe's Irreversible and I Stand Alone
Michael Haneke's Funny Games (1997) and Benny's Video
Inside My Skin
Audition
Eraserhead
WHy do we watch these films...so *beep* vile and depraved. Am I so lack of feelings and so desensitized?
Got to shower now to wash off all this muck before sitting down for the next one.
Thank you.
