My heart was pounding throughout the entire movie...
I just finished watching this on Netflix about an hour ago, and man... I haven't had such a strong emotional reaction to a film in a long time. I was disgusted, scared, sad, angry... pretty much everything on the "negative" end of the emotional spectrum.
What a horrifying glimpse into the worst parts of humanity. This movie is a harrowing reminder that the world doesn't require a special set of villains and monsters for wickedness to occur. Normal people can be pushed into doing awful things. All it takes is for someone to set aside their own personal moral responsibility and follow the orders of those they perceive to be "authority."
I think this is a very important film with a very important message. It makes me sad to see all of this negative feedback and commenters dismissing it as "stupid" or "unrealistic."
