I don't understand the guys motive

Why was he demanding all that stuff making her do sexy things its not like he was seeing any of it

reply

He wanted to feel the thrill of power, the same motivation of a rapist or serial killer. He wanted to psychically dominate the girl and her boss, to the extent that she would even strip down and do degrading things, and not only do those things but do them willingly, just because he told them to.

He basically held a gun to her head -- only the gun was all in her head. He didn't even have to lift a finger.

Yeah, but how does the perverted caller even know that they're really doing those things on the other end of the line and not just humoring him and laughing with their hands over the microphone? "Yes sir, officer, I totally just gave some strange older man a hummer just like you told me to, because you sound totally legit. Uh-huh." And does it really even matter to the caller if the people on the other end even comply or not?

Because if they were wise enough to figure that out, they would have just hung up the phone. They were susceptible enough to get into the situation. Any "ah-ha" moment would have caused them to say "NO" rather than fake anything.

Control. He wanted to control people and there actions and see how far her could take things. I am sure the guy enjoyed the sexual aspect of listening or imagining what was going on, but the main purpose was to have people that will literally do anything he says.

Well said.

Seconded!
Also; this guy was a rapist.
He violated everyone in every way that night.
Even the police detective--in a way.
They see people at their worst every day. Pretty certain they don't need more to try and forget about so they can sleep.

Well, if we learned something from Criminal Minds is that people aren't excited only with sexual acts (either doing them or being an spectator). In this case it's very likely that the guy wanted to feel the power.

One significant detail we see near the end is how he carefully stores the prepaid pone cards with the notebook were he noted all the details of the prank (names, locations, etc), just like when a serial killer keeps trophies from his victims. From what we can see in that scene, the notebook is like a "memories" álbum filled with all the details and reminders of the pranks he made.

My point is that there isn't really a "why". There's a "who" and a "what": the guy and his psycopathy.

[lauh] oh dude. You did not just use Criminal Minds as a reference.

As for the OP's question, the guy was not a voyeur, he was a sadist. He got off on power and control, he didn't need to see it.

I don't know a lot of the details, but I'd assume he has a connection to the manager and the other man. That it wasn't only 1 person in on it. That makes the most sense since those sheep were so willing to follow the insane things they were being told.

reply

He was just getting a kick out of it.

People get a kick out of typing stuff on the internet, knowing that people might be shocked, but they can't see the people's reactions. Just knowing that people will react is enough for them.
