I think they copped-out on the nudity in this film. The scene would have been much more powerful if they would have shown Dreama full-frontally nude. It would have given you more of her feeling of how vulnerable and helpless she was in that situation. Even if it would have been for one shot, it would have had a big dramatic effect on what she was going through. Filmmakers always seem to be afraid of having a vagina in their film, even when it would have been appropriate and bring a big dramatic effect to the over-all film.

It may also have to do with the actress not wanting to show full frontal.

She could have worn a merkin. Those things are so huge, no underlying flesh could ever be seen. And if she wasn't embarrassed by showing the boob job, what difference would some hair make?

It wasn't necessary at all. The film worked perfectly well without it.

If Dreama was full-frontally nude in the strip-down scene, it would have made her more vulnerable and made you feel for her character more so. It's another example of American filmmakers afraid to have a vagina seen in a film.
