I, Robot (the film) was a poor adaptation of the books by Isaac Asimov, what's wrong with filmmakers using that source material to make a better film?
shareClearly you didn't see the movie.
shareMaybe you should rewatch both movies. You're very incorrect.
shareIf anything, it is inspired vaguely by Asimov.
shareI didn't expect many responses, I was just joking around, I thought the oh gawd gave it away.
I'm just poking fun at how everyone things every robot film is a rip off of something that wasn't original to being with.

Gees you touched a nerve there! Yeah, robots and a dystopian future; must be a ripoff.
shareBlade Runner.... check
I Robot [or any Asimov's]..... check
Ergo Proxy anime..... check.
I'm quite visceral about movies with no novelty in them; but the treatment on the subject of Man's decline and AI uprise was quite well done in this case.
The certainty that Mankind was doomed and the logical conclusion that Man is nothing more than "a violent ape" who cares for nothing else than himself [shown plenty of times in the movie in various ways], seemed to me [IMHO] well thought out.
It mostly reminded me of Ergo Proxy as well, the robots with how they appeared and how they acted to humans, some of the plot and the vibe from both were very similar.
"LISTEN TO ME I'M DOCTOR TED NELSON!" - Dr.Ted Nelson
This is better than I robot.
