They are just computers with human masks.
Those japanese robots do not make use of the machine learning process. They just have a database with a lot of sentenses and situations. They can, however, record new things to the database and so, improve it. But that's not a learning process.

So they learn and what? You may know but you have to apply, will they do that and how? I don't think so.
