Retro-Futuristic

I haven't seen this style manifest in a movie before. Much of the art direction evokes Blade Runner, but of course Blade Runner was made in 1982. Automata is set in a future seemingly envisioned 35 years ago.

If you'd played Alien: Isolation then you've seen some similarities such as the large beige keyboard keys, CRT monitors, etc.

Are there any other movies that carry this design approach? I'm not asking for '80s sci-fi that looks like '80s sci-fi but recent films that bring back extinct technology.

The only example I can think of is another video game: Fallout 3.

Maybe check out Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon, if you're into video games.

I believe the Alien Isolation developers call the style "Lo-Fi Sci-Fi", which is a future where CRT monitors & public telephones still exist.
