The first half of the movie was great...

The second half? yeah not so much...

Agreed. Started very strong, then collapsed and never got up again.

I dunno. I agree that once they got into the desert the pacing was problematic, but I think it resolved nicely and had a beautiful (albeit sad) ending.

Definitely agree. A promising premise with a good beginning but as the movie went one it accumulated flaws and inconsistencies. Ultimately showing it wasn't well thought out enough or it was decided it wasn't worth doing right.

Overall I rate it pretty good but not great. It is a shame because it had a lot going for it and I also really like this kind of movie.

i thought the ending was great, the screenplay was great and the cinematography was great...

pretty movie to look at, at least

I guess I have to agree. Got off to a great start but ended with typical gun play with no plot advancement. That just makes it normal, so I'm happy that the first half was strong and thoughtful.

reply

Yeah and I thought the premise was good and it started out okay. I didn't mind Melanie Griffith as the robot doctor, but I got tired of hearing her voice as the female robot along with the Dylan McDermott and Robert Forster roles being wasted.

reply

Totally! I was so bought into this flick after the first few minutes, but then halfway through it all fell apart. Really a shame.
