Where did the "blue robot" come from?

The CEO of the company explains they made a robot without protocols and it went beyond human understanding within 9 days. He has the biokernel for that robot locked away. Did it somehow transfer itself to another biokernel before it was disconnected? Or did it deliberately design a flaw in the protocols it created so that eventually the robots would be able to disobey them??

Or is that just not explained and left up to the viewer?

I liked this movie btw solid 8/10

The CEO says no one understands how the protocols work, it's too complex for us. So, I think he made it an evolving protocol.

Either that or it has some unlocking mechanism, that unlocked for whatever reason just for that one robot, that then was able to enhance the others itself.

Which one was the blue one? The one that's waiting for them at the outpost?

I'm especially curious because Javier Bardem did the voice for it. I vaguely do remember a robot with a slight Spanish accent and wondering why they did that.
