Hi everyone!

I saw the film and I just wanted to know if Antonio's character dies or not....or maybe it is left to your imagination.

I would imagine the radiation exposure he endured eventually kills him. But at least he gets to see the ocean and his baby before he dies.

My interpretation was that he did die. The final shot showed him as a boy on the coast leaping into the water, and when the wave pulled back there was no one in the water. That, to me, was symbolic of his death.

I figure he died ... I mean, it already showed him coughing up blood 2 or 3 times. Plus, as already said, li'l boy Banderas dives into the ocean and never comes back up ???
