Did anyone else think that the private investigator was hilarious?

He needs his own spin-off show.

YES! My family and I were like, "You go, Charlie Parker!" He was a character!
A spin-off show would be awesome.

I knew he'd shirk his responsibility of digging in the yard, eventually, handing over the reigns to the homeowner. I was like 'what, he's gonna get a heart attack if he tries that'.

Ha. It's amazig how he figured it out. Still, I think he overreached in claiming the family killed the kid.

I'm not sure what you're implying. Ears are actually used to identify people from photographs. Researchers concluded that Anna Anderson was indeed the Russian Grand Duchess Anastasia. Their ears matched on all points. However, an eventual DNA test said otherwise .
