When Frederic stated the photo was in black and white on the missing person report for Nicholas Barkley and he figured he had a chance. HELLO, it clearly shows on there

Hair color; L Brown
Eye color; Blue

So why would he be surprised when he finally saw a color photo of a blond hair blue eyed kid?
When he called the police in the States, wouldn't he have been more specific saying "brown hair, brown eyes" and if he did, why would missing persons send of a photo of a kid with blue eyes?

You'd think so. And if not, wouldn't they have asked for a specific description themselves?

With no description to go on, did they just pull Nicholas Barkley's name out of a hat?
