Ryan eggold or Elyes gabel as Mitch Rapp

In theory, I could see Elyes Gabel in the role. I've seen him play the personality Mitch has quite well and he could probably pass for an athlete. The problem is he's too old. The series starts out with Mitch at 23 years old. Elyes is 33. According to Deadline, the idea is that the actor will grow along with the character, so they want him to be very close in age to the character in the first film. I like their apparent choice for Mitch, Dylan O'Brien. He fits the criteria almost exactly.

With the way mitchs age jumps in the series gabel would make perfect sense as he would only need a small amount of makeup to appear younger instead of a massive amount to age the current actor of choice through the rest of the series
