I did 3, three, tours in Iraq and I'm 5' 8". I served with some guys that were like 5' 6" and mean as f'ck. Like, literally bullies to some of the "softer" guys.
Never understood the whole height in Hollywood thing.
It's not that shorter men (and I use that term only descriptively, because to me, 5'8" is not short at all) are not tough and mean, at all. It's just that this particular character is supposed to be around 6' tall as per the books.
