Insidious and Paranormal Activity
Is this supposed to make people WANT to see the movie?

I liked both. Insidious was about this boy suffering OBE's or do I confuse that? He went into another realm during sleep? Maybe I just liked that one because I experienced the phenomenom referred to as an "OBE" many times myself (it's obviously just a very particular form of dream, maybe it should even be referred to as a separate phenomenon due to the clearly defined differences).
Paranormal activity will probably be forgotten in 10-20 years, but I never regret seeing it. A lot of people are very biased when it comes to shaky cam movies, tbh I don't particularly like them either, but that one wasn't bad.
Still, having the same producers doesn't mean *beep* The fact that they have to resort to such advertisement instruments indicates that it probably isn't very good.
Both movies are modern-day horror-classics. Jump off the bandwagon...just because your stupid friends hate the movie, you don't have to follow...

I agree, PA was much better than the critic majority likes to claim. I have to say though, if defending the series, it was the 3rd that was best. Being a prequel, you could kind of view it as the first (storywise), and I think it was much better than most FF films out there

shareFirst half of Insidious was fantastic then it completely fell apart and became almost unwatchable.
The first Paranormal Activity was and still is great, I love it. The rest of the series not so much though.

I totally agree, second half of Insidious ruined the first half.
shareonsidious was awesome and the second was ok 3rd one will be awesome as well if your fan fine if not then dont watch them simple as that sequals are a fan service anyways. onto the real subject this found footage film was awesome.

Imo Insidious was one of the greatest horror movies ever created i'm dead serious. it was just perfect mix of atmosphere suspense jumps, and nice production with shots, lighting, even artsy spirit world scenes which movies never dare to go to because it's hard to pull off but this one actually did it very well. It succeeded on most levels IMO.
