So the big scare (SPOILER)

So the ending leaves us with two possibilities. One, the group is left to die (all were buried alive though we only saw Brandy actually be buried in a plain wooden coffin. The others were in nicer more modern coffins but still coffins)or they all were released in time before they did. Thus the ultimate scare was truly thinking they were being murdered.

Or they were killed because they discovered the secret or upset too many haunted house owners by filming when they were told not to.

I imagine they were released, hooded again, walked to their camper, told to wait 10 minutes or so before taking to hoods off, and then told to never come back. Oh and all their film taken.

So then, if the latter, how did we see the movie??

I actually thought they murdered them - although wasn't that her at the end watching a video, or, was that a flashback?

Hmm, I do not recall that scene! Guess I'll have to watch the end again! If so then that would answer the question. Or maybe it was some other girl watching the video?

thats what i started thinking too

what was the significance of the guy they were interviewing at the end? did anyone else think it was alluding to him being part of The Blue Skeleton?

And he said they, as in the haunted house community, were at a point where they'd do anything to get a scare... short of killing someone. So that perhaps is the answer. Unless they truly pissed off too many people by filming. They were warned at several locations and since they all seem to be related in one way or another... a example had to be made.
