no add up

Nothing added up in this movie! I really enjoyed the entire movie up till the end! Good acting, original story, some really good scares and creepy elements all through out. But what happened after they were put in coffins? What happened after Halloween? And how did all those scare actors keep following them throughout TX into New Orleans? It had a big plothole, with an unfinished ending. Maybe the film makers were going for an open ending?... well, FYI movie makers, open endings don't work for horror genres! We want them dead, or survived! And especially in found footage films. Hell, even Blair witch ending worked better, at least we know they died... dont know how, but they did die!

I agree with you 100%. I actually enjoyed the film a lot (I'm a fan of RL Haunted Houses, theme park haunted events, etc...) -- but the ending to this was the only part I really didn't like. I'm willing to suspend disbelief on the scare actors following them around, the heart-in-the-fridge (although, if you think about it, why? Why would they do that?) Actually, I guess that's my problem with the ending, too. What's the motivation of the Blue Skeleton "staff"? Why go to all the trouble to stage this elaborate, "extreme" haunt, just to kill a couple of people? I think a much better ending would be if they were beaten, terrified, drugged, whatever - and then you see them wake up the next day. True to its reputation, the Blue Skeleton really was just a haunt -- albeit the most bad-ass one of all time...

Serial killers don't have to have a motivation, but generally do. It depends on the person. I suspect in this case, they do it for schadenfreude, which is typical of psychopaths. The guy at the end I think explained it.
