I liked it...but where does it take place? In the US or Canada?
I might have missed it

Canada. Remember, America was not yet even IN the war at the time of Episode 1.
shareCanada..
I think it's set in Toronto.. maybe Ajax Ontario. There was a huge munitions factory there during the war.
In the latest episode Glays's fiancee called himself and American so who knows where its supposed to take place.
shareIt takes place in Canada. You missed the rest of his quote:
Unless you're in a uniform, nobody sees you as a man. People can't see that I'm American. That this is not my country's war. They think I'm a coward.
Oh well that is good to hear sorry I missed that.
sharethere are several references to Toronto in the show, both in the script and visual.
shareGood gracious! Even though I love history I was surprised to hear Canada was involved in WWII at all. That's the American education system for you.
Lois Lane = Leia Lane
Indeed, Canada was in WWII since it began in 1939! We celebrated many signifcant victories and suffered a number of tragic defeats. On D-Day, Canada took Juno Beach, and in fact got further inland than either the British or the American forces that day.

7 Canadians from the southern provinces (New York State, Texas etc) flew in the Battle of Britain, one (B. Fiske) being killed. Mick McCarthy USA and Bomber Command was one of the last surviving Dambuster pilots.
Marlon, Claudia and Dimby the cats 1989-2005, 2007 and 2010.
So we don't know where the show takes place, our guess is Toronto? (Or Ajax, which is a suburb of Toronto...or fairly close at least.) In tonight's episode they mentioned Petawawa which I had never heard of. So I've been googling and wiki-ing. ;-) And it takes 4.5 hours to get from Ajax to Petawawa, but probably quite a few more hours than that in the 40's?
shareSounds about right. Gladys and Marco did plan to make a full day of it--and that was before their "troubles"
shareDidn't you see the beaver making its dam behind the factory on the show?
Or the moose munching on tree in front of it?
Or the women always pouring maple syrup on their food when they lunch?
Or that they play hockey on their break?
Or that the factory is guarded by the mounted police?
Gotta pay attention, man..
Yes, I pour maple syrup on everything
