Why are there such low ratings from imdb users...?

It's not that bad.

It's not bad at all; the writing's good, casting is bang-on (pardon the pun), Meg Tilly gives an outstanding performance and overall the series is very watchable - so I'm with you, I can't understand the low rating. You'd think with the whole retro thing going on with Mad Men and Pan Am (yes, I know that one is on its way out) that Bomb Girls would have been better-received. Anyway I gave it an eight, not to inflate the rating but because I feel it really deserves it.

Any Canadian-made show always starts of with a really bad rating on IMDb and slowly improves with time (probably because many have an intense dislike for any Canadian entertainment before they've even seen).

Michael Tuesdays and Thursdays had a 4.3 at its start and now has a 7.4

The L.A. Complex (probably one of the best canadian show in years) had a 3.6 at one point and now has a 5.7 (slowly going up everyday)

,etc.

time is making fools of us again ..

I wouldn't say it's bad at all.

They have been pushing this series so much on TV but haven’t seen it.

Well last night it was on and thought I would watch it for a little bit. I ended up watching the entire show.

I grew up hearing stories of women who tied their hair back and worked in munitions factories. From what I heard working in a munitions factory was not a cake and accidents happened all the time. The sexism showed in this is dead on. Even thou women had the right to vote they were still treated as 2nd class citizens.

Finally Meg Tilly has a meaty room where as she doesn’t speak in the hush baby doll voice.

I agree. I heard so much about it but wasn't offered a chance to see it because I am in the United States. With it premiering last night on REELZ, I was immediately attached. Very entertaining. Love Meg & Ali Liebert so it was a win-win. I really didnt want to put a rating on something I actually hadnt watched which is also why the rating was probably so low. Now it may increase with more exposure. I definitely rated how today.

"It's not that bad. " It's not GOOD. Cancellation was a mercy.

7.9 out of 10 is more than respectable at IMDb. I am really pleased it's almost 8/10, because it deserves a good reputation.

I only noticed the show once Netflix offered it; never heard of it before then. I would have watched many more seasons. Over too soon.

Hey folks,

Everyone has different tastes, especially entertainment, so different folks will have different opinions on this show as well as others.

I just started to watch this on Netflix perhaps two weeks ago, and I was captured right from the start. I should admit that I first thought it was going to be about a munitions factory in England. Right from the beginning of the show I noticed the actors seemed to be sounding more American than British, and that makes things easier for me to understand. After about fifteen minutes I suddenly realized the story was about a munitions factory in Canada, and everything fell into place for me.

This series was one of the best I have ever seen. It was a great story with great acting, and the costumes and sets seemed perfect to me. It reminded me of all my parents photo albums from that time. I rated it as a ten. It was that good to me.

Best wishes,
