This show seems to be entirely populated with moral and physical cripples! The 1940's was no paradise, but most people were not engaging in sex out of marriage, lesbianism, miscegenation, not to mention numerous peccadillos of a non-sexual nature. Why do modern writers have to transfer their immorality to other, purer, times?

shareI certainly agree BeverlyCy. Pregnancy abounded, especially during the war! Woman and men cheated as their spouses were not there for years, etc. The "propaganda" glamor films from WW2 are awesome to watch but they're not reality. Bomb Girls was much closer.

I do family genealogy; and while it does appear a lot of the time as though people through history were amazingly faithful, DNA testing bears out there was infidelity. Census records also show families were broken up and moved around.
