I am a little confused. I missed a few episodes, can someone fill me in. How does Alex think Charlie is the baby's father. Last time I saw she wanted nothing to do with Charlie and slept with Joel.

The only explanation I can think of is that Charlie and Alex slept together during her recuperation. We saw that he was living at the apartment while he was taking care of her. But I agree that they were making it look like she wanted nothing to do with him. So they fooled both of us there.

Alex must had sex/make love with Charlie while she was recuperating from her scissors wound. Alex must have subconscious remember what she had said to Charlie about having his baby & made love with Charlie!!!....

I was curious about the timeline too. How long was she in her coma & how long was she in the hospital before discharging? Could it have been before she got stabbed & with the stress of everything she wasn't aware she missed a period & they didn't know how far along she was?

She was out of work for three weeks after her accident, or after she woke up from her coma. Since she was unsure of the baby's father, she must have slept with Charlie right before going back to work. They had been broken up for several weeks if not months before her accident.

I think when Charlie bought Alex's breakfast to her in bed (S3E4), the night before Charlie must have made love to Alex .....With Charlie smiling and making breakfast & serving to her in bed ......It could not be that Alex was pregnant before got stab because she did not have sex with Joel until after she was stab .....So, Alex was stab ......Alex spent a week in the hospital .....Alex came home and Charlie move in & took care of Alex for two weeks .....Alex must have subconscious knew what she had said to Charlie when she was a Spirit .... Let's have a baby and must have made love to Charlie the night before Charlie had ask Alex to marry him again and Alex response was that she did not love him & Charlie moved out ....Alex must have ovulate right before she had sex with Charlie or right after Charlie moving out! Then she had sex with Joel soon after Charlie had move out....... 1) Alex Ovulates, Alex had sex with Charlie & Alex had sex with Joel soon after or 2) Alex had sex with Charlie, Alex Ovulates, and she had sex with Joel or 3) Alex had sex with Charlie, Alex had sex with Joel, and then Alex Ovulates .......Chances are that Charlie is the Biological Father because Charlie had a head start (My opinion!) ....Sperm can live for up to three days.....
