White horse
What was the symbolism of the vision of the white horse in season 3 finale that Charlie saw and then Joel seeing it right before he died?

shareI think it symbolizes either death (one of the four horsemen of the apocalypse rides a white horse) or heroism (white knight). Or both.
What I've always wondered is whether the horse Joel saw was real. Charlie kept seeing it, of course it wasn't actually there and he was worried it was a bad omen. Then Joel sees the same thing and the bomb goes off. But something about the one Joel saw seemed more real...the breath, movement, and the sounds it was making. It could have been a vision as well but I think it odd that both Joel and Charlie would have the same one.
Milo, I've told you again and again - please, don't walk on the chickens!
I thought it looked that way for Joel too, but to have it on an military base and no one else to notice it would be strange. Maybe Charlie seeing was an omen & Joel seeing it made it real (thus more clear) & final
