Guy that appeared in season finale?

I missed two or three episodes in season four and I just finished the season finale. Can someone explain who the guy at the end with the gun is? What's his story?

He was a prisoner that was getting a surgery and his ghost asked Charlie to help prove his innocence. In the process Charlie found out the guy actually did kill his wife and they argued and the ghost said he wouldn't forget and would get revenge right before he woke up.

Yep, he was a real wrong number.  Scary, too. I'm wondering how he is out so soon.

He's in episodes 1-4 (season 4 of course) if you want to rewatch.

The man (Tom) that Alex put into coma in a first Episode of Season 4. Tom, the guy that was flown in and during Surgery he could not be put under. Tom was the prisoner who killed his wife & another girl....Charlie, had confronted Tom the Spirit and told him that he (Tom) had killed is wife and another girl. Charlie had put the pieces to together. Tom, said he won't forget it & Charlie, said he will...When Tom woke up from his coma his eyes were center on Charlie......
