Who would ever give Dawn (Ex-Wife) judgement over the Last Rights of Charlie (Ex-Husband)!!! A Fiancee (Fiance) not a Ex-wife (Ex-Husband) would have care a enough about a person both mentally and physically ? Especially Alex who was just hour's away from becoming Mrs. Alex Harris if she was gone a change her name! A Ex-Wife or a Ex-Husband it not normally friends with the Ex-Husband or Ex-Wife! If Charlie had died and had Dawn transfer & starting working at Hope Zion, I would think that Alex would make Dawn work life a living Hell! But, It is a Fictional show and in a real life you don't ever know!.......But, in the coming Seasons, Dawn will mellow out! and become friends with Alex.
shareLol, I was gonna talk about my progress how I'm already on S2E9, but now il actually relate to the topic. I hate Dawn. I hate her. The "your daughter" comment about Riley REALLY pissed me off personally. I don't think I'll ever forgive her. Even if she saves eighty newborns in a fire or something. I don't find ANY sort of redeeming qualities about her character. ANYTHING likable about her, even if she mellows out eventually.
And on the unrelated note, this episode just... makes me uncomfortable. Personally. Though I'm comforted it's a cis man playing a trans man than a cis woman. The thing I like about this episode though is addressing the whole messed up thing about messing with the parts of intersex newborns and infants. I don't think a trans person looked over this episode for themself, but this was.... A decent job.
TLDR; I hate Dawn. Probably always will. And include trans writers no matter how good of a job you think you'll do by yourself without consult.
I forget when I started liking Dawn, but she's my second favorite character after Charlie. She's hard around the edges for sure but once in a while we see a soft side. But she and Joel both seem to be a 'love em or hate em' character for various reasons.
