I'm towards the end of S2. Will they ever play anything besides really boring/forgettable adult alternative???
Cliché things to play instead of boring alternative:
- under pressure
- how to save a life
- weird happy upbeat love songs when things are the exact opposite of happy and upbeat
- unchained melody
I think they play a lot of local/Canadian artists' music. While sometimes a well-known song would be appropriate for a certain situation I think they do a pretty good job of finding songs that set the proper mood. I'm glad they don't play the Top 40 stuff, I hear that enough as it is. Although I laugh every time I watch Why Waste Time and the string quartet plays 'Call Me Maybe.'
I've bought a handful of songs from the show on iTunes.
