I have a strong feeling its Charlie. And i hope it is Charlie. I dont like Joel for Alex.

I don't know why, but I believe that it's Charlie too, and that's what I want....joel isn't ready to be a father....

and I am like you, I don't like joel and alex, either

I honestly thought that as well.. but then I thought about it more in the last few days and realized that maybe Charlie won't want to be with Alex once he finds out Joel is the father... So it's a Twist! :)

I like that Joel is growing but I really hope it's Charlie. I think he and Alex with the baby would make a better family!

I had been thinking it was Joel's baby but that Charlie would be the baby daddy.
Now, assuming you've seen the last episode, 3.16, "A Simple Plan,"
...

with Joel buying an engagement ring, I'm guessing Joel dies, or Alex accepts the ring, and Charlie is left with Alex's crumpled wedding vows from the taxi driver.

Considering how the season ended, with Joel ghost asking Charlie to "take care of them", your guess may be the perfect solution.

Of course Joel will ask Charlie to " take care of them" because from the start he thought he was the baby father. So,you can not take what Joel had said for fact that he's the father to baby Luke!!! Maybe, because Joel had love Alex ( one sided) and wanted Alex to be safe. Baby Luke is part of Alex so when told Charlie to "take care of them" does not mean he is the baby father!!! Charlie, will always take of Alex and baby Luke........

I just watched the last Season 3 episode, where Alex gives birth to the baby.
Joel heroically sacrifices himself for a patient and dies, but at the end of the episode, he tells Charlie to "take care of them". But they never indicate definite proof which man is the baby's father, although it is clear from that point, Charlie will be the father who helps raise baby Luke.
I'll just have to wait until Season 4 if they ever establish paternity by proof.

So what if Joel said "take care of them" it does not mean that Joel is the biological Father to Baby Luke.... Joel is not going to said "take care of Alex", when Alex has Baby Luke to take care of..... Joel loves Alex & Baby Luke is a extension of Alex and he loves the baby as well.... It would be stupid of him to say "take care of Alex", when she has the baby.... What else will Joel have said to Charlie?.... Instead, Joel saying "see you later" or "Who won the Football Game", he had said "take care of them" because Joel loves Alex but Alex loves Charlie! ......But, you got to asked what did Alex leave behind....What I think Alex left behind is the Conversation she had with Charlie about having a baby with Charlie when she was a spirit.... But, Alex did not forget about the conversation she had with Charlie. Subconscious, she did remember the conversation and had sex with Charlie.... I think the baby is Charlie because how come Alex remember what it is like to be a coma and that she loves Charlie until after Alex let Charlie hold the baby?.... Alex didn't remember until after she let Charlie hold the baby..... If the baby were Joel, Alex were to let Charlie hold the baby and nothing more would have come of it......But, Season 4 which I saw, the Saving Hope writers would not tell us who is the Biological Father to Baby Luke..... Episode 1 of Season 4, Charlie told Alex that he did not take the paternity test and nothing more was said......Maybe, in Season 5 with the Saving Hope writers tell us who is the biological Father is to Baby Luke......

I think the Season 4 premiere does a good job of addressing the father issue.

It's not clear who the father is, there are indications both ways. Wonder if we'll ever find out.

A GOOD JOB! What a joke! The Saving Hope writers, does not want us to know who is the Biological Father to Baby Luke......With Charlie, telling Alex that he does not want to take paternity test and nothing more is said though out Season 4.......A good job would be them announcing who is the Biological Father to Baby Luke!

They address it by saying it doesn't matter to Charlie. Ok, maybe some people would rather know. But it doesn't matter to Charlie, and it really shouldn't matter to the viewers. Joel is out of the picture and Charlie is raising him as his son, so there's no need for a paternity test.

The only way I see them doing one is for medical purposes, if something is wrong with Luke. Otherwise, IMO, there's no reason to do one.

Do you would think Alex would have "yes" to Joel marriage proposal? You got to be kidding, Alex would have said "NO" because she was falling for Charlie, again! To bad Saving Hope writers did not want down that Avenue. Joel loves Alex but Alex loves Charlie.

god i hope not.

Did never likede him, sure good doctor but a bad boyfriend material, he cheated on everybody in this show, not that best father figure.

Would be mind blowing for Alex if that free clinic doctor woman shows up with a baby :p

Now Im thinking he is the biological father because of his death. But since Charlie doesn't care it's not that important. The people who raise you are your parents, DNA is less important.

The Finale cliffhanger to Season 4 Episode 18 The writer's did not tell who is the biological father to baby Luke. I think the writer's do not piss off either the Joel Fan club or the Charlie Fan club so they did not say who the biological Father is!!! I hope, that in Season 5 if they do tell that it would Charlie!!! Charlie makes a wonderful dad with loving and caring for Baby Luke...If you use the argument that you have to make Baby Luke Joel baby (Biological) because Joel is dead .....What if Charlie was dead or going a ghost in Season 5? .....With Tom the gunman shooting at Charlie & Alex! We don't know what Season 5 would be like?

I don't think Joel is the Father because in Season 3 Episode 18 when Alex say's she loves Charlie at the end of the Episode and Alex remember the whole coma thing it is after Alex lets Charlie hold the baby.....If the baby was Joel, why would Alex remember what is like to be in a coma and that she loves Charlie? Alex did not tell Charlie that she remember seeing him while she was a coma before she let Charlie hold Baby Luke only after. So, if Joel was the father she would let Charlie hold Baby Luke and nothing more would have happen after that! So, I think that Charlie would turn out to be the Biological dad to Baby Luke when or if they do tell who is the Biological Father to Baby Luke.....Hopefully, in Season 5!

I'm guessing towards the end of season 5 that there will be some medical reason to compare Charlie and Luke's DNA.

In real life, I had a pregnant friend who wasn't sure if the father was her husband (from whom she was separated) or the man with whom she was living. When the baby was born, he clearly had his father's eyes (who was the separated-from husband). Within a month the husband and wife reconciled. Apropos to nothing, the father's name was Charlie.

Season 5, that plans on showing in Canada in January 2017.....I do not think that Saving Hope writers will tell us who is the Biological Father to Baby Luke. Since, it is Saving Hope last Season (5), I think they are happy with us not knowing.......If they do compare Baby Luke DNA with Charlie's, Hopefully, Charlie will come out the winner!
