There was no chemistry between Peeta and Katniss
Their union was awkward and I felt like he was like a little brother.
Eventually, all things merge into one, and a river runs through it.

Well, to be fair, Katniss was stiff and awkward throughout the whole movie. In every scene she had that faraway look in her glazed-over eyes.

It was just weird to me and I didn't by the love between them there was absolutely no chemistry between the actors.

Actually, I think this is the film where they show most chemistry. Katniss chat with him after she gets shot is one of their best scenes; even though he treats her like *beep* you can see she's really hurt because she loves him.
shareI think the chemistry was perfect since she was pretending to be in love no matter what she said.
faith begins at the end of your comfort zone.
I think the chemistry was perfect since she was pretending to be in love no matter what she said.Yeah, she was partly pretending in the first movie, and ironically I think they had better chemistry there than in the second movie, where she was supposed to really fall in love.
They had negative chemistry. Bad chemistry and bad acting aren't a good combination.
shareI thought they had great chemistry throughout the entire series. And it was supposed to be awkward in this one. Peeta was a psychological mess. And Katniss had her hands (and her emotions) full with the responsibility of being the chosen savior of the world when all she ever wanted was to protect her own family. As well as trying not to hurt Gale with her love for Peeta. Because by then there's no doubt who she loves as a partner. She cared deeply for Gale but her romantic tie was unbreakably to Peeta by then.
I liked seeing the process of his coming back to her, and her helping him to remember by sharing all the little things that she knew about him, which is one of the best ways to show intimacy in a short period of time. The part at the end, where he asks, "You love me. Real or not real?" and she answers "Real." was the perfect resolution to me and more moving than a traditional "I love you" from her would have been. Both because they'd never been expressive that way with each other and because they'd been through so much by then that it fit both where they were (in the relationship) and the world they were living in. I like the ending too because it gives hope for their future and lets us actually see them be happy for a change.
Anyway, some people will think they had chemistry and some won't. It's all just personal preference and perception. I wouldn't change a thing.
It was horrible for me too....She is is stuck forever in PTSD prison with that loser!
shareBetween scenes on the set they behaved very much like siblings. Maybe that colored
their performances. But mostly Josh's diminutive stature and youthful appearance
affected some people's view of his character. "Their union was awkward" translates
as Katniss should have picked Gale.
