Who said that LionsGate went bankrupt?

There was this pathetic troll on here who obsessed about how The Hunger Games series had bankrupted Lion's Gate Studio. Well, not all of us have the time (or see any point) to check up on the health of that studio, but now, they have enough resources to distribute a new movie with a big splash:

La La Land. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt3783958/

What's more, the movie that lost money for them wasn't Hunger Games; it was Divergent, a Hunger Games wannabee.

reply

Except that Divergent isn't anything like The Hunger Games.

reply

And Lionsgate is more than the production companies Color Force("Hunger Games") and
Summit("Divergent"). They also distribute films that they didn't produce. And they
have a TV production arm. I was pleased to see Nina Jacobson(representing Color
Force) on stage at the recent Golden Globes receiving the award for best Miniseries
or TV Movie for "The People vs O.J. Simpson: American Crime Story".

reply

That's so cool, I had no idea Nina/Color Force was involved in that! I'm dying to see it, little access from my country unfortunately.
