Obviously I haven't read the books but I wish they had someone that wasn't 5 inches shorter then katniss and didn't look like he was 14 yrs old Lol..

Wow you're taking this way too serious dude. Yes I'm taller then the average male but my dad is shorter then my mom, he was about 5'9", 5'10" and wouldn't have it any other way. I hold my father to the highest of regards but it was just my thought about fictional character in a fictional movie. Get over yourself!

In the old Hollywood the man was supposed to be taller. There are cases
where a taller leading lady would walk in a trench to make her appear shorter.
And the fact that Gale is taller than Katniss and Peeta shorter contributed,
I think, to the feeling of some that Katniss should end up with Gale.
Peeta + Katniss = Peeniss
Has anyone ever made that joke? I feel like I could be the first, and I deserve a nice juicy Whopper for my troubles.

shareI'm pretty sure that the Panem tabloids and Panem media would not call Katniss and Peeta "Peeniss," as that is vulgar. Nor would it be Katpee like others have suggested as that is just beyond stupid. I am pretty sure the couple name for them would be taking the first half of her name and the last part of his name, so Kata which is a lot nicer. :)

share@ma: Thank you! And Josh (Peeta) delivered well. He's a pretty good actor. But the age difference AND height difference distracted me at times. Someone her age, a little bit older and taller would have been suitable.
shareTotally agree that Josh's acting was really good. For me I like the couple Peeta + Katniss: they are different in many ways which make them a perfect combination. Peeta is gentle, shy and sweet, good at communicaton while Katniss is straight, "fierce"... I prefer Peeta much more than Gale, the character Peeta really convinced me by Josh's impressive psychological acting, even in last two parts Mocking Jay. Though I realized his height the the beginning, I forgot it after that
