Hope I'm not opening a can of worms by bringing up politics here - heaven knows we get enough Trump elsewhere.

Still...While I greatly respect Suzanne Collins' wish to stay out of the limelight, she has demonstrated so much insight in topics like politics, war, and the media.
I wish I knew what she's thinking about the election result - where media manipulation played a role - and the current President. Who used to be a reality TV star, no less.

We're certainly saddened and worried about it, many of us here in Europe.

I think she'll stay out of the limelight -- one advantage of HUNGER GAMES is that it doesn't fall on liberal vs conservative lines -- everybody can hate Snow, and laugh at the reality TV satire.

The books/films are very anti-authoritarian. And Trump has shown a definite authoritarian
bent. So I would assume Collins would not like Trump.

Liberals and conservatives both value freedom, but this is something else entirely. Trump is not "conservative", he's a mentally unstable fascist.

I don't really wonder whether Collins is against Trump or not, I'm pretty sure she is, I'd just like to hear her thoughts on it.
