Missing a tribute?

I was just re-watching "Catching Fire" in preparation of seeing "Mockingjay 2" and noticed a math error/ There are 24 tributes for the 75th Quell (2 from each district). At the end of the first night, while they don't show them all, Finnick counted 8 tributes dead. At the end of the second night, they show another 8 dead, including Mags, the morphling and Chaff. so that's 16 gone. So who's left - their group of 5 (Katniss, Peta, Finnick, Johanna and Beetie) and the 2 careers from District 2 (Brutus and Enobia). But that's only 7 - who is the missing Tribute? I think in the book and movie they mention Chaff, but he is shown in the 8 dead for that day.

The problem is with Chaff. In the book, there are eight deaths on Day 1 and eight on Day 2. Chaff is one of the eight who is still there on Day 3: while the plan to bring down the forcefield is coming to its conclusion, he's killed by Brutus, who in turn is killed by Peeta.
In the film, there are actually nine deaths on Day 2 with Chaff being the last, leaving the seven Tributes you list still alive on Day 3.
