shareIt was pretty clear she died, she'd never be able to survive the fog, especially not at her age. The others were young and strong and even they were severely weakened by the fog, so there's no chance Mags would still be alive.
shareAlso, in both the book and the movie, after Mags walks into the fog, the cannon fires right after. The Gamemakers know whether a tribute is alive or dead based on their embedded tracker, so the cannon firing definitely means Mags died at that time. :(

No; although their relationship as portrayed is so close as to be not far off that of parent and child.
Mags was Finnick's mentor for the 65th Hunger Games.
