Why did Katniss shoot an arrow at the sky that looked like it had lightning in it? There was no way she could have known that the sky that was showing lightning was all part of a studio, so why did she do it? O.O

Earlier she shot an arrow at the sky and confirmed that it was a dome, a
force field, like all previous arenas. She figured out Beetee's plan
to short out the force field by attaching the wire to the lightning tree
and propelling a wire into the dome at the exact instant of the lightning strike.
