Anyone else think she would have been perfect for the title role? She's not conventionally pretty and she has an interesting look.

Also, Mia Goth could DEFINITELY handle a full-frontal shower scene, which I still maintain is where THIS version went off the rails. She'd probably consider this role G-rated material after sucking on Charlotte Gainsbourg erect nipples in "Nymphomaniac" or giving herself a home-made abortion in "The Survivalizst". She has some big brass balls--I'll give her that!
I'll give Chloe Moretz a pass since she was only 16, but I am so sick of "hot" Hollywood actresses taking on risqué roles that they're not willing to do right. This role has a very important menstruation-in-the-shower scene and you just can't believably do it wrapped in a large beach towel observing a "no-nudity clause".

Chloe was too pretty and too young to play Carrie. I blame the people who cast her, as well as the people who are responsible for taking the safe way and making this just another remake of the 1976 movie instead of its own adaptation.
