Did it seem like the ending could be ambiguous? Like maybe siegleman (sp) could be pulling on pants and leaving after Jo shoots herself because she realized how alone she would always be?
shareI thought of that except you hear pants being zipped before leaving the room and Seligman enters the room with nothing on but a long night shirt.
You also distinctly hear Jo breathing heavily after the shot.
But I think most importantly is the sound of the cat door swinging as they last sound you hear before the credits role. Seligman had mentioned that he welcomed the sound of the cat door swing as it signified the comings and goings of someone, but was rare.
