How to enhance your experience while watching this brilliant film

I found this to be a brilliant film, it merges art, philosophy, music and religion so well, truly an intellectual film beneath a lot of hardcore, uncensored pornographic sex.

I was aware of the hardcore scenes in the film which may excite me and cause me to unfocus, thus I decided it was a good idea to masturbate before watching the film so I could remain focused. I think that was a good idea, Seligman himself said that being asexual would make him the best judge of the story, I agreed with that completely it almost felt like fate that the state of mind I wanted to achieve for the film was ideal to enjoying the film itself as professed by Seligman.

That being said, I was quite shocked by Seligman's behavior at the end.

I beg to differ, this movie is very far removed from porn. This is real sex, not manufactured sex intended to arouse you. Rest easy folks, arousal is not an issue with the sex here.

At first, yeah. But then I watched it again and one of the indicating facts towards his behavior was when he imagined Joe, when she said she was a teacher, as a sexy one with her ruler in the skirt in the classroom.

The second was when she asked if he was paying attention/cared about what she was talking about and he responded rather coldly (in hindsight) but quickly "yes!" there was just something off about it (but props big big big props to Stellan because he really, really did such a good job throughout the entire movie...like always but still). And then nearing the end he was really sort of working her over almost with that speech. Those are the three most glaring ones I can think off without having to watch it all over and give you a massive run-down.

One final indicator, which is rather brilliant, was that there were only two other characters she named in the film; Jerome and Marcel, whom were close to her. But both of whom she resented for one reason or another or, at one point, she had felt had done her wrong.

It is a brilliant film. I just wish more people saw past the title and the actual sex scenes. Which I know seems to be the entire point of the film but it really isn't (if anything it seemed to edge from independent movie to more of what I Spit on Your Grave, the older one, was). I personally am not a big Lars Von Trier fan, really, so I went into this one with extremely low expectations but it was a really good film. One of the more memorable ones, at the least.

I'll be super honest on this thread and the way I fould to enhance my experience
while watching this brilliant film was to masturbate 2 times on the volume 1.
Now I'm about to watch vol 2 after a shower.
