Don't get all the low user reviews??

This movie was very good , and the 2nd was as well. It's so much more about sex and "like a porno".. It's actually really funny , and asks us more to use our brain than anything else. The 1s are absolutely absurd !

THERES NO ROOM IN MY CIRCUS TENT FOR YOU !!!

So are people not allowed to dislike it? People have their own opinions and feelings they shouldn't be dictated by anyone. Disliking this movie is just as valid as liking it.
A movie is like a work of art, it doesn't have to be attacked or defended, it just have to be appreciated for what it is.
You found it to be very funny, other people found it to be "like porn". I happen to disagree with both, but I'm not going to attack anyone who doesn't share my opinion.

reply

Oh you don't get them, hon? How about the fact that they exploit children, small children to make this FILTH? They should be drawn and quartered.

reply

Do you not realize how stupid you sound right now? The kids in this movie were not used for anything explicit in any way; the closest thing that could be interpreted as "sexual" is two girls playing leapfrog on a wet floor and even that's about as sexy as a slug crawling on a donut (i.e. it's not). In fact, I question whether you actually saw the film or you just saw that moronic review on the front page, gave this a 1 sight unseen and then came on here to scream at people without any proof to back you.

I saw that scene and the girls took off their underwear and were, according to the Parental Advisory description supposed to be experiencing sexual feelings; one trivia line even said there's a *beep* extra scene deleted that showed one of them come to a climax. That is *beep* DISGUSTING and calling it, and anyone who defends it, *beep* is being kind.

reply

Yeah, I don't believe you actually watched the movie. The way you worded it all but gives you away, not to mention that parental advisory page is edited in a way so cleverly that you could claim to have seen the movie and milk every detail out of it without seeing a single frame of the movie. I also question that moment you describe actually exists because it'd make no sense for a Greek Blu-ray to have deleted scenes and not releases in America or the film's native country of Denmark, not to mention the parental advisory completely bungles the fact that Connie Nielsen is only Charlotte Gainsbourg's mother.

You can believe anything you want, I watched that scene and they weren't "playing leapfrog", they looked more like they were pretending to swim on the floor. It all might have been innocuous, except for the intent which was to show children gratifying themselves; using six-year-old girls to portray a character's horniness is beyond disgusting even if they didn't have the girls themselves do anything sexual. If what I read about the extra scene is false Bate, take it up with the poster who WROTE it.

reply

Before I further respond, answer me this: what game would Connie Nielsen's character play by herself and how many times did she appear in the film total?

reply

I don't care. I've only spoken about that scene, never claimed to watch the entire thing and why would I after the disgusting things I saw so early on? You're acting suspicious that I didn't do something I never claimed to do. Nothing else that happens in the film makes it okay or changes it, and if the info about extra features here is so inaccurate, I'm very confused why no die-hard fan has changed or clarified it. Because it also says that a deleted scene shows a child grinding on her father's leg and that the sequel shows Charlotte Gainsberg aborting her own pregnancy. The revolting and the brutal.

Did my response that get flagged and deleted really get to you?

Almost all the 1 star ratings are from fake accounts that exist only to give this movie a low rating. Go to the beginning of the user reviews and you'll notice how a majority of those reviews come from users with similar names who talk almost exactly alike and didn't post another review after this one. It's from a bunch of socially repressed prudes who think sex instantly equals dirty and have to snuff it out.

Nice work detective Bateman. I also like the use of "punch" as a collective noun for socially repressed prudes.

reply

I believe that was a mistake on my phone autocorrecting a misspelling of "bunch" to "punch." Smartphones, am I right? But thanks for pointing the mistake out.
