Shia LaBeouf

This movie made me dislike Shia LaBeouf as an actor more than I already do. He's a *beep* actor, not a character actor at all. His accent was horrible. You get the same performance each time. The fact he is in this movie, about a nympho, makes me think he is just lame. The funny part is she stopped having orgasms with him.

His accent was really weird, kind of like Sean Connery whispering. Not sure what was going on at all with that.

reply

His accent was terrible and inconsistent, he is definitely NOT a versatile actor.

I actually liked him in this movie. Since I never knew what country they were supposed to be in (and who was from where), I didn't get overly wrapped up in accents.

I agree. I thought he was great. And I thought the accent was interesting. I think he's a pretty good actor. Wallstreet he was great. And I can only respect him more for taking a role like this. It must be exhausting.

I agree.

I'm puzzled by the hate. 10x better actor than Ryan Gosling.

Most definitely.

Oh god me too LOL his accent was hilarious. The best scenes he had were his raunchy sex scenes, with no talking. And even those were super cringe-worthy because dude, he's Shia LeBeouf. Not sexy.

reply

Shia's acting was alright, the accent, however, was a freaking abomination.

I always thought that Shia was a decent enough actor despite clearly being a tosser in real life, but my god - his accent here was atrocious, maybe the worst tried-and-failed accent in movie history. Even Costner knew not to bother trying in Prince Of Thieves, and he was playing Robin fĂșcking Hood! Shia Labeouf? I christen thee ShĂt Labeouf.

 - Too true! The people claiming he's more talented than Ryan Gosling must be on some powerful drugs...

LaBeouf is a fine actor, and it took an incredible amount of courage to do what he does in this film. He is truly dedicated to his craft. i noticed that all the other big name actors in this movie don't have the guts to do what Shia did. i truly don't understand all the hate directed at this guy; he is unique, talented, and he isn't some typical Hollywood pretty boy either. He isn't afraid to get into a bar fight and get punched in the face. He doesn't walk around with a bodyguard like these other pussies. he goes out on the town alone, and mixes with real people. i wouldn't mind having a few drinks with him myself. He seems like an interesting guy, that for the most part, rejects the movie star crap..
